Police Dog Bravo PD381

Police Dog Bravo PD381

Police dog Bravo was born and raised in April 2014 by a well known QPS German Shepherd breeder and was one of three brothers that successfully graduated through the puppy development program into the recruit police dog course.
At the age of 18 months Bravo was partnered with Senior Constable Joseph Alofipo of the Gold Coast Dog Squad to begin his 12 week dog course at the Oxley Academy.
After successfully completing dog course PD Bravo registration 381 made the transition to working as an operational General Purpose police dog attached to the Gold Coast dog squad for the next 8 years.
PD Bravo found success in his tracking skills and his ability to over power and apprehend high profiled offenders. PD Bravos presence as an all black German Shepherd made his profile even more intimidating when working in the night.
On the evening of the 29th of August 2021 PD Bravo and his handler responded to a samurai wielding offender that had already attacked and seriously wounding his father before decamping on foot prior to police arrival. As a result, PD Bravo tracked and apprehended the offender without further danger or injury to family, Community, and police. PD Bravo was awarded the Commissioners Certificate Award for his Service that night.
PD Bravo has since retired in March 2023 at his handlers home where he now enjoys the continued walk and games down the local park with the kids.
Even though retired Bravo however still acts like the Alpha dog as his handler now works with his new operational dog with Bravo always getting excited when he sees his handler and PD Atlas getting ready to go and work each night.
He still misses the excitement to ride in the work truck and hear the sirens and lights when attending urgent jobs. But he understands his time is now head security dog at his handler's home, "Enter at your own risk"😁
Thank you for your service Bravo
